Crosspoint Update 1.28.2010

New series kicks off this Sunday!
You don’t want to miss this Sunday!  Lead Pastor Dave Anderson will be back on stage to kick off a new series called Exposed!  Invite a friend to join you at 9:00 or 10:15 at Regal Cinemas behind the Decatur Mall.

Office Space The Crosspoint Staff will be moving into our new office soon at Beltline South Office Complex, 2042 Beltline Rd SW, Ste 421, Building C.  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work together and accomplish more to close the highway to hell in North Alabama.  We want to thank Sharon Edwards, Dale Goodman, Megan Smith, Jason Lack, Beth Gillette and Jack & Pam Alford for your help to make the Crosspoint office ROCK!

Crosspoint Medical Team The Medical Team of Crosspoint is holding CPR classes. We encourage all volunteers within Crosspoint to attend. This will prepare us in case of an emergency. CPR Refresher Course - Sunday, Feb. 7 from 12:30-4:30 p.m. This is for CPR certified people who need to renew their certification. The class will meet at Decatur General Hospital in Morgan Room A. Cost is $5.00 for certification card and lunch. Instructor: Mary McMahan. CPR First-Timer Course - Saturday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 28 from 12:30-4:30 p.m. (May end sooner on Sunday if class material is completed.) Must attend both sessions for certification. The class will meet at Decatur General Hospital in Morgan Room A. Cost is $10.00 for certification card and lunch both days. Instructor: Mary McMahan. Register with the Crosspoint Medical Team by contacting Mary McMahan or 227-2926.

Crosspoint Update.1.15.2010

Dear Crosspoint Family,

We’re sure you’ve heard of the earthquake that has struck Haiti and seen the pictures of those suffering who were lucky enough to have lived through it. Let’s help the people of Haiti through people we trust. Crosspoint is partnering with
Samaritan’s Purse to deliver money and purchase resources in this time of crisis. Our giving will provide food, water, blankets, and emergency medical care to those in need. This Sunday we are going to take a special offering for those in Haiti or you can Give Online now.

Lifegroups are kicking off NEXT week! It’s exciting to hear the buzz as people talk about Lifegroups and the new Lifegroups that are starting. You can sign up online or you can sign up this Sunday at church. Don’t miss out on the fun and encouragement of being in a Lifegroup.

Our Revolt teens are headed off to the Behold Winter Weekend Retreat this weekend. Please be in prayer for their safety as they travel and that God would work in the lives! Revolt kids ROCK!

Crosspoint Update.12.28.09

Dear Crosspoint Family:

This has been a great year for Crosspoint. Countless people have given their lives to Christ this year through the ministries of Crosspoint. Last time we gathered, we saw over 20+ people give their lives to Jesus! We baptized over 60 people at our Tailgate party on the Spring Ave property and the House of Rock is currently under construction! What we’re doing is making a difference in North Alabama and it wouldn’t be happening without you!

MANY of you have asked about YEAR END GIVING, especially due to FULL THROTTLE. It’s important to you, important to the IRS, so we are making it important to us.

1) If you use E-give – our ONLINE Stewardship Partner – please read their Year End Policy.  Read it carefully as ONE TIME, and Recurring Gifts are treated differently. Give online with E-Give

2) If you prefer to hand your gift to someone in person, please call Jack Alford at 345-1148 and arrange a meeting to give your offering.

Crosspoint has exciting things ahead in 2010. We are going to kick off the year with a great friend of Dave’s, Michael Lukaszewski, lead pastor of Oak Leaf Church in Cartersville, GA, who will be here to speak. You don’t want to miss this coming Sunday!

Michael will kick off our new series called CREED … So: Hang on, 2010 is going to be a wild ride!
