Revolt Revolution
We might be the only church in the world with over 500 total weekend attendance that does pretty much everything on volunteers. We also might be the only church that size where our student ministry sits in the front 3-4 rows to engage in the service, and they are plugged in to meaningful service in other areas of the church. We might also be the only church where our student ministry meets in a garage someone donated and the cops show up because a neighbor complains about something trivial related to a bunch of kids having fun. (that issue was a non-incident and was resolved)
In other words, God is up to something in our student revolt. This winter we are taking them to Behold Camp January 16-18. This isnt just a couple days away from home to goof off at the beach or shop and sight see in Gatlinburg and go to concerts.
This will be an IN YOUR FACE challenge where our students will encounter God! And believe me they all need a God encounter. Especially the one’s who are thinking about suicide, the ones who have started having sex and taking recreational drugs, the ones who are not sure there is a God and the ones who’s families are hurting because of this economy.
Our church reaches the kids not many churches want to have. They have been let down by parents and so called leaders. This is the age when many will decide to follow God or follow the way of the world. We can watch them rebel and wonder what happened or we can fuel the Revolution of Christ followers that will change the world – because someone believed in them.
So lets take this opportunity to show them a revolution of compassion and get some kids to the Winter Retreat. The cost of the Retreat is $115.00 We are planning on 30 kids. There are some who have a great financial need who WILL not be able to go if we are not able to fund it for them. Some just need a little help. Will you sponsor a kid to go? Its easy. Click Below and enter any amount. $5.00 to $500.00
