I am vertical and above ground

By now many of you have heard or read this post by Charles Hill.  Hopefully you also read this one.  If you haven’t stop now and go read BOTH posts – then come back here!

From the bottom of my heart thank you for your prayers, your love, and your kind words.  Thanks to an amazing staff and awesome volunteers for making Crosspoint what it is.  Thanks to my pastor friends who have encouraged me and been so helpful during this time.  I am looking forward to amazing days ahead of us and taking the necessary time to get truly recharged and energized for the next season of ministry!

This Sunday will be an AMAZING DAY as we finish Dirty Christmas!  Lives will be changed FOREVER!  I can not wait to be there!

Glad you’re above ground! Seriously, glad you’re ok. You definitely need a break. God showed you alot the last time you were forced to take one, wonder what He is going to show you this time.

BTW, going to be there Sunday? Doesn’t sabbatical mean that you are supposed to take a break? LOL

Love you guys and thanks for being the “moviepastor”

I will be there – but I won’t be doing much of the heavy lifting. My staff and Charles Hill have EVERYTHING under control! Its going to be AWESOME!

I somehow missed this! Bro! I’m glad that you are alive. I’m thankful that you will have some time to rest and be ready to kick tail later. REST!

Dave, My husband and I visited Crosspoint a few weeks ago. I have spent the last 15 years of my life as a vocational worship pastor and planted two churches during that time and now am pursuing some mission work. Ultimately, I too had my physical health affected by the stress levels of a quickly growing church plus some tragic ministry events. Long story short, I took a sabbatical about 21 months ago and it was so life giving. I’d be happy to talk to you about some things I learned from that time and I’d also be more than willing to help your staff out in any way I could. I’d love to come in and pray with them, talk to them, etc. Not only have i served thru great stress, I also served during a time we were suddenly w/o a pastor twice in 15 months. So I understand the staff side of things as well. Anyway, I’m in Madison. Pretty local to you. Willing to help. Please email me if I can serve you or your church in any way during this time: janowen@knology.net

Praying for your complete recovery and a deeply restful time.
