Back in the Saddle!
I am pumped up today to resume my responsibilities and role as Lead Pastor at Crosspoint Church. I’ve been on sabbatical since Christmas due to some health problems I experienced before the holidays. Thankfully there was nothing seriously wrong and the break has taught me much. I wont rehash everything or rehearse all the lessons I learned during the last two month right now. Let me just say that it was refreshing to have the time to rest in Christ and heal and hear from Him.
I am so thankful to have a team of people – both staff and volunteers, who believe in the vision of Crosspoint and kept things going without missing a beat. Our staff really shined during my sabbatical and I am so grateful for what they accomplished. I am looking forward to rejoining them and helping to lead the charge against hell itself as we shut down the Highway to Hell in North Alabama. I am so proud to serve with them.
We have an exciting time ahead of us and I cannot wait to see what God is going to do. Thank you Crosspoint Church for your prayers, your support, and your understanding during this time. Also thank you for continuing the vision to wreck North Alabama for Jesus! I love you and I am proud to be your FULL TIME pastor!

Pastor Dave,
I have been praying for you and Dana regularly through your sabbatical. Your best days are ahead, my friend. I am so grateful for your example to reach your world for Jesus. Your life has been such a huge encouragement for me to be faithful where God has planted me until He moves me. You burned a question into me at our lunch visit that I reflect on so regularly: “How long did that bush burn?” I am actively looking for God so much more in the small, mundane, and ordinary as a result of you bringing that question to mind. Hope to see you again soon. I owe you a plate of Mexican food!
