Sunday Reflextions

• Back on the stage for the first time in 4 weeks – only the second since before Christmas.
• Felt great but the first service was awkward and stale feeling.  I pretty much stuck straight to my notes and it felt dry.  I also finished 10 minutes early.  Oops.
• Second service I was in a groove and had a great time teaching.
• I love sharing vision with our people.  Three is all about Vision – why we do what we do.
• Jesus came to see and save what was LOST.
• Jesus had a mission – Jesus has a church.  We need to the two to come together.
• Our teams did outstanding work this weekend.  Love our different volunteer teams.  If you aren’t on one yet, go to the resource center Monday or hit the Contact Us Page
• First Sunday with great weather and we still had a great crowd.  I love that our folks are fired up about their church.
• As we go forward there will be more emphasis on the discipleship piece than we’ve had in the past.  Got some new stuff coming up in the fall that I think people will LOVE.
• Speaking of weather and the fall – pray we get a consistent break in the weather – warm and dry.  We need that for House of Rock Construction.
• Lots going on behind the scenes to prepare us for the House of Rock.  Remember its just another place to do our thing – its not the goal.
• It was great meeting some new people yesterday and returning guests.  I love it when Crosspoint “Clicks” for people and they get excited about it.
• Sort of bummed that a few people have chosen to go another way.  I hope they find a church they can get 100% behind the vision.  There is too much kingdom work to worry about people who leave.
• If people aren’t leaving, we are doing something wrong.
• If people aren’t coming, we are doing something wrong.
• If people aren’t complaining, we are doing something wrong.
• In people aren’t excited, we are doing something wrong.
• If we can control the outcome, God is not in the equation.
• I dont know why I said all that.
• Its going to be 70 degrees today.  It will be hard to stay in the office.
• Next weekend should be fun.  Talking about the 3C’s of Crosspoint for the next three weekends.  This weekend is Celebrate.  We are going to P-A-R-T-A-Y.
• Oh – and I need a sheep.  Got one?
